Delaware
Ignite

The speed team of the First State Skate Club — and this is the team's home. Every skater's profile, every race night's standings, every clip from the floor lives here.

Three tiers. One ladder.

Every Ignite racer climbs the same ladder — start where you are, race where you belong.

1 · Spark

The kids' division, roughly ages 8–12. First speed steps, coached starts, short races — and a helmet on every head.

2 · League

Club racing under the lights — the full Wednesday race-night card, standings and rivalries, all winter long.

3 · Elite

The travel team. USARS meets up and down the coast, carrying Delaware into regional and national fields.

The Flyers race team

The Flyers are the Ignite race team — three tiers, one badge. A second Flyers team opens in phase two, and the two teams race each other all winter. Ignite races under USARS: the First State Skate Club is a USARS-chartered club, and every racer carries their own USARS membership.

Skater profiles

Every skater gets a page

This portal is the roster system: when the founding roster forms, every Ignite skater gets a profile page right here — their clips from race nights (every race night is filmed), their standings, their tier, their gear. Skaters share their own profiles; families follow the season from this page. The roster boards open with the founding season — first at Ignite Night, the team's grand opening.

Standings & results

Posted after every race night — placements, points and the championship chase, by tier. The first standings go up after the first race night of the founding season.

Spark — where the fire starts

Our youngest racers, roughly 8–12. All a Spark skater needs is their own skates (or rink rentals) and a helmet — the club's instructors teach the first speed steps inside the rinks' lesson time, and Spark races its own short card on race night. Kids who catch the fire climb to League when they're ready — nobody gets rushed, nobody gets left.

Dues are $60 a month — by the half season ($180) or the full season ($360, kit fee included free). USARS membership is each skater's own, at cost. Gear comes from The Speed Shop at member prices — members buy through the club cheaper than anywhere else. Sign up at the front desk of Dover Skating Center, home of the First State Skate Club — and if the shuffle floor is more your speed, the club's Shuffle Portal is the other door.
